Tape Worn Edges began not with a business plan, but with a feeling — the particular ache of a song that sounds like it was made specifically for you, in a moment no one else will ever fully understand.

Tape Worn Edges began on a quiet night when I was producing and listening to music that felt like it had been waiting for me. The kind of songs that makes the room feel different, like you’ve stepped into a memory. That moment made me want to create pieces that carry that same energy — imperfect, textured, and honest. Clothing that feels like a story you’ve already lived.

The label was built on a simple belief: clothing can carry meaning the way music does. Not loudly. Quietly. In the details.

The Name

Tape worn edges. The frayed end of a cassette tape played too many times. The hiss before the music starts. The moment between silence and sound where something shifts.

That space — the static between songs — is where this brand lives. It's the pause before a decision. The exhale after a long drive. The feeling of being between one version of yourself and the next. We make clothes for people who know that feeling.

Design Philosophy

Every piece is built around restraint. Minimal by intention. Symbolic in its details. Nothing is decorative for decoration's sake — every graphic, every stitch placement, every weight of fabric is chosen to carry something.

Our collections are concept albums in garment form. Each drop has a world, a mood, a narrative thread running through it. You don't have to know the story to wear it — but if you do, it changes how it feels on your body.
